Homeopathy: Treating The Root Cause

The homeopathic process is very different from the conventional model of medicine. Instead of treating symptoms as individual problems, homeopathy examines the totality of symptoms a patient is experiencing and traces them down to their common denominator.  It is at this level where the attention is focused.  Many seemingly unrelated symptoms converge down into this root of dis-ease.

Illness comes in all forms.  It affects us all in unique ways characteristic to our own heredity, environment, previous experiences, and beliefs.  It is the way that an illness affects us that determines what homeopathic remedy is chosen. Homeopathy is individualized medicine.

Our body self corrects all the time. We call this process of rebalancing "homeostasis".  A running nose to clear a bacterial infection, a fever to create an inhospitable environment for germs, a rash to clear heat and toxins from the system.  These are but a few examples of the body’s inherent abilities to restore health back. Homeopathic care assists the body’s inherent ability to self-correct when it gets stuck or is miscalculated in some way.

When a remedy is chosen, it is selected not to "fix" the problems directly, but to inform the body's innate healing system and draw attention to what needs to be cured. It is a gentle nudge to get the body stimulated towards the direction of cure. A well selected remedy harnesses the body's innate wisdom towards what it was supposed to do all along in a gentle, non-invasive manner.
